Mr. Tak Saito has over 20 years of experience in IP creation, analysis, valuation and utilization arena, including business consulting for cutting-edge technology startups and for new venture creation with large enterprise companies by maximizing their value with sophisticated IP strategies and with unique mining methods of invention for making market rules by engaging alliance partners and resource providers to make new platforms in the worldwide market. 

Mr. Saito has committed to over 300 startups as outside IP counsel to secure multi-million-dollar private equity investments and facilitated several successful exits, including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions. 

Mr. Saito has led a special project for patent portfolio enhancement as outside IP counsel for Yahoo Japan Inc. by mining and filing over 1,000 patents in five years and successfully constructed its secured IP position in the emerging market. 

Mr. Saito also has successful career in IP due-diligence for securing several multi-million-dollar investments and M&A transactions, in hands-on support on business development for startups as a director, and in business development in Japan’s first technology licensing office, CASTI; currently TODAI TLO, Ltd. at the University of Tokyo. 

Mr. Saito is a registered Patent Attorney in Japan and a registered Standards Development Expert Assistant at the Registration Center of Experts for Standardization (RCES) and a certified AIPE Intellectual Property Analyst (patents/content). 

Mr. Saito is regularly acting as a speaker in international business conference, including IAM IP Business Congress (IPBC), PIAC (Patent Information Annual Conference) in China, ACCJ (the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan) and several private seminars organized by local government, stock exchange markets, accelerators, incubators, investment banks, business consulting companies and the client companies. 

Mr. Saito is a certified Information Technology Engineer, System Analyst, and has 13 years of experience in software development of AI and scientific calculation systems at CSK Corporation (currently SCSK Corporation). 

Mr. Saito received Master of Science in semiconductor engineering from Graduate School of Engineering, Kansai University, Japan and MSIA (MBA) degree from GSIA; currently Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.
